July 22, 1994: the Government of Canada agreed with the Chippewas of the Thames that the land known as Broken Lots 12 and 13, Range 5, South of the Longwoods Road, Caradoc Township, in the County of Middlesex, Province of Ontario, was reserved by Treaty and subsequently patented by the Crown without a surrender or any compensation.

The members of the Chippewas of the Thames voted to accept the Settlement Agreement, and the Chippewa Land Claim Trust Agreement came into effect. (Note: band members who would like a copy of the Settlement and/or Trust Agreement, please contact Alva Deleary at 519 289 5456)

One of the mandates of the Chippewa Land Claim Trust Agreement is to purchase land which abutts this First Nation and have these properties added to reserve.

October 17, 2005 Chippewa Land Claim Trust meeting: a motion was made by the Trustees that the Chippewa Band Council be notified by letter that the last remaining mortgage was paid in full, and that a meeting should be held with the Township Council to clear up any matters od concern in relation to additions to reserve.
